hi, daniel here. i recently used one of your questions which was "alphabetically what is the last county in england" or summat like that any way the answer given on here was worcestershire but a few of the quizzers got there arse saying it was yorkshire just wondered if anyone could clear that up for me
Using the search facilty for the word 'worcestershire' I can only find - Quiztime Quiz 281007 15. One Point Each - Name the Six Racecourses beginning with the letter ‘W’? Wincanton / Wetherby / Worcester / Warwick / Wolverhampton / Windsor
Quizerama Quiz 131206 42. Which type of traditional English sauce contains molasses, vinegar, garlic, onions and anchovies? Worcester SAUCE
Formby Quizmasters Quiz archives 2004 39. Which English town on the Welsh borders was the birthplace of Charles Darwin? Was it Shrewsbury, Hereford or Worcester? SHREWSBURY
I used this question a couple of years ago (boy did I get some abuse!) I explained that I had actually contacted Ordnance Survey (yes, sad I know!) They confirmed that Yorkshire no longer exists as an official county so Worcester it is. Cheers, Davegee.
As a Lancashire lad its great to read that "Yorkshire no longer exists!" Thanks Dave for the clarification - if they listed them like constituencies in elections it would still be listed last as Yorkshire - North & Yorkshire - South (!lol)
