Do any Quiz Presenters intend to do an Olympics Special this year or are you more likely to wait until 2012?
quizmate wrote on Apr 5
It's highly unlikely I will be doing anything on the Olympics as most of my customers don't like sports questions

Which follows on to - how many people use sports questions, sports rounds or even do a sports quiz?
Obviously I include sports questions in the general quizzes but are they actually in general not wanted.....

I include sports questions into my news round (10 questions) but I never do an all sports or an all news round. I only do a 'News & Sports Desk' round every now and again.

I sometimes include a spots question in my normal quiz but I also do the odd sports only quiz just for the lads in the bar but they really prefer an all football quiz.

Does anyone find the Sports Desk Handout Picture Rounds of use?

hi all, i have just recently taken over a quiz (today is my third) and i have done a sport round of 10 quwstions every week so far it seems to go down well

Daniel, why not put your quiz files on the blog section of your own site. Good luck with the quiznights and there is plenty of material on here for you to use.

I run a weekly quiz at my local. I present about a third myself and ask guests to present the balance. There is a wide variation in quality which is accepted with good humour. I do not comment on this as I think there is a quiz presenter in most addicts. Anyone else use this approach

I know we have one quizmaster who lets the winning (or losing) team choose a category for the following weeks quiz. We had a scrambled on to compile a round on fly-fishing!

I thought I would share with you a funny encounter I had recently with a pretty young girl who was working her first night behind the bar. After taking a long time to serve me a pint of lager she said, " I'm very sorry it took me so long, but it's my first night,I'm just learning,So if you want more HEAD just let me know". I said I'm doing the quiz at the moment but if you give me your number I will give you call. After hearing this all the blokes who were sat at the bar burst out laughing, and on realizing what she had said, the girl turned a deep red with embarrassment.

Earlier in the week I decided to add a Trivia Fact to the homepage -
The World Snooker Championship is the second longest annual sporting event in the world behind cycling's Tour de France.
This has provoked discussion in certain quarters who think certain Sailing competitions, yacht races etc may be longer. Any experts out there who would like to throw in their tuppence worth?

Has anyone got the TV Theme for Dexter - MP3 please...

I might put in the odd one I wont be doing a full round on Olympic Questions, I dont think my lot would appreciate that topic................. Hey! not too happy about the "BACK BORIS" pic.
quiztimeuk wrote on May 1, edited on May 1
What? Bungling Boris for President! - this will add to all the other chaotic nonsense that this country seems to be indulging in....(I could get on my soapbox but I won't)
Back Boris for a Greater London

Hi Chris. Firstly thanks for a great web site - always a source for ideas when i run out of my own. As andycrabtree posted earlier it's difficult to keep people interested all the time, but heres one i've been trying out which has been well received. I call it pictogram. You take a normal picture round, famous people, landmarks, etc and use the first letter of the answer to form an annagram. Make it topical if you wish.Google image will provide you with all the pictures you will need.

Sounds good, any examples of your work you wish to share?

Unfortunately with it being B/H weekend I'm otherwise engaged, can only suggest you use the Guardian & BBC websites which both have news quiz sections.

Thank you all.
There are quite a few multiple choice quizzes on site if you look through the blog entries or use the 'search' facility at top of page.
